How to use fire extinguishers and what to pay attention to?

There are many types of fire extinguishers, which are suitable for extinguishing different types of fires and are used in different ways.

1. Portable foam fire extinguisher
Foam fire extinguishers are suitable for extinguishing initial fires of oil and general substances. When in use, hold the lifting ring of the fire extinguisher with your hand, and lift it to the fire smoothly and quickly, and do not carry it horizontally or horizontally. When putting out a fire, hold the lifting ring with one hand and the bottom edge of the cylinder with the other hand, turn the fire extinguisher upside down, aim the nozzle at the fire source, and shake it vigorously for a few times to put out the fire.

Note: Do not place the cover and bottom of the fire extinguisher against the human body to prevent the cover and bottom from popping out and hurting people. Do not spray together with water at the same time, so as not to affect the fire extinguishing effect. When putting out an electrical fire, try to cut off the power first to prevent people from getting electric shock.

2. Portable carbon dioxide fire extinguisher
Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are suitable for extinguishing the initial fire of precision instruments, electronic equipment and electrical appliances below 600 volts. Portable carbon dioxide fire extinguishers can be used in two ways, handwheel and duckbill.

Hand wheel type: hold the handle of the spray cylinder with one hand, tear off the lead seal with the other hand, turn the hand wheel counterclockwise, turn on the switch, and carbon dioxide gas will be sprayed out.
Duckbill: Hold the handle of the spray nozzle with one hand, pull out the safety pin with the other hand, and press down the duckbill on the handle to put out the fire.

Note: When putting out the fire, personnel should stand upwind. The hand holding the spray cylinder should be held at the glue nozzle to prevent frostbite. After indoor use, ventilation should be strengthened.
